Hello my name is Alexandra, although everyone calls me Alex.

I have been working with children in some form or other since 1997. After having my first child in 2008 I realised that I loved looking after him so much that I wanted to do it for other children - hence childminding! In 2008 I completed my EYFS, Safeguarding Course and first aid training, in February 2009 I received my first Ofsted inspection, and I am now a registered childminder.

I provide a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere where children can feel safe and have fun whilst learning and thriving. My service complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and meets the individual learning and development needs of each child.

I am based in Hoddesdon (EN11) which is conveniently located within short walking distance of a train station, the town centre, the river and many parks.

Please browse around this site for more information on the services I provide. If you have any questions or would like to discuss vacancies please feel free to contact me

I live in a 2 bedroomed semi-detached house in Lea Road, Hoddesdon. We have a 70ft enclosed garden, a downstairs bathroom and a good-sized kitchen. We are a non-smoking household.

I am a mother of one child; a son called James, he is in the early years group. When James arrived I soon realised that I wanted to work with children on a permanent basis and childminding seemed like to obvious choice. I live with my husband Paul who works full-time as a dispatch assistant. Paul is CBR checked to an enhanced level and has also undergone shared care training.

We have 2 cats (Molly and Ziggy) and 2 rabbits (Tinker and Heff). The cats have free roam of the house but are clean and very friendly. There is no litter tray on the property. Our rabbits live in the garden in their nice warm hutch. The animals food and water is never put down whilst children are around and is kept out of reach at all times.

I am a trained shared carer for Hertfordshire and as a result, I am used to dealing with children that have a range of disabilities (both mental and physical). I regularly undergo training for this and I am happy to work closely with parents to ensure the children's needs are being met.

I hold a full clean UK driving licence and I have insurance policies that cover my business, home and vehicle.

I provide a flexible and personal service that meets the individual needs of your child. My home is a caring, safe and stimulating environment giving your child lots of opportunity to have fun and learn through play. I am committed to the welfare and development of all the children in my care and it is important to me that parents can leave their children knowing that they are in safe hands and are having a very positive, enjoyable experience.

This is me!
This is my family!
